The RDA Reserve Management Software is available to RDA clients at no additional cost when we prepare your reserve study!*

RDA Reserve Management Software is NOT a spreadsheet, but rather a fully-integrated management, computational and projection tool.  Unlike spreadsheet programs, RDA Reserve Management Software allows for greater detail of all major assets and more accurate future projections, without limiting itself to a twenty or thirty-year window. 

RDA Software allows for computation of compounded interest and periodic percentage increases in reserve contributions consistent with or independent of inflationary trends.  And the RDA Software allows your association to become fully-funded while keeping required monthly contributions as low as possible and either decreases or eliminates the need for any "special assessments."

The RDA Reserve Management Software is compatible with all versions of Windows running with a 32 bit operating system or earlier, including VISTA and Windows XP.

Windows 7 users will be required to upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional and activate the Windows XP Mode and Virtual PC feature that is built into Windows 7.

Windows VISTA running with a 64 bit processor is not supported, but can be configured to run the software.  Additional information may be found at the following link: Windows VISTA 64 bit Operating Platforms.

 Free Software Program Downloads:

These downloads may be used to replace the "Database.mas" and "Comments.mdb" files for the RDA Reserve Management Software program.  Download these file directly to the directory containing your copy of the RDA software program ("C:\Reserve" if you used the programs default directory).  You may wish to save a copy of your old database and comments files before downloading any replacement files.

The "Cost and Useful Lives" database file, “database.mas” is the master database file and should be downloaded to the directory containing your copy of the reserve program.  This is not your working file, “database.mdb,” which is created when you index your database to your local geographic area.  In order to activate this file you must follow these instructions:

1. Download “database.mas” to the directory containing your copy of the reserve program.  Please note that this will overwrite your existing your database.
2. Open the reserve program and select  Options --> Index Database, and change the master database costs for your location, even if you want to leave the index at 1.0.

Software Technical Support (pdf files):

• Printing a DOS program using a USB port.  Set up any computer to print the RDA Reports directly through a USB port on your network or a stand-alone system!

• Windows 95, 98 & Me - Printing to a network printer.  This article details how to set up your computer to redirect report output from your LPT1 port to a network printer using these older operating systems.

• Setting up windows icons for the RDA software applications.  Currently the RDA Software does not automatically set up icons on your desktop for its applications.  This step-by-step documents show you how you can do this for easy access to any of your files or folders in your computer!

The RDA Reserve Management Software program utilizes proprietary procedures and equations for all of its calculations.  Often, we are asked just how are the calculations completed.  The linked document will answer the most technical of questions and provides procedures for anyone wishing to verify the calculations using a financial calculator should they be so inclined:

The RDA REPORT

Download a copy of a sample report.  Actual reports usually contain considerable more assets and information than this sample, but this is sufficient to give you an idea of the general report format.  The final report is complete with additional narrative and a photo library of all the assets included in the analysis.  The RDA Reserve Management Software program, client data files and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet macros are also available upon request, or furnished as part of the original agreement, and always at no additional charge!

 Software Licensing Fees

The RDA Reserve Management Software is available to RDA clients at no additional cost when we prepare your reserve study!*

For individual homeowner associations and other single common interest developments, licensing is a one-time fee of $195.

For property management companies that are not located within a territory of an existing RDA office, licensing is an annual fee of $300.  Please see the "Office Locations" tab in this web site and call to see if you qualify.

Licensing includes unlimited reports and unlimited clients for management companies within the licensing fee.

Licensing is not available for colleagues in the industry that would be in a position to compete with any RDA office.
